If there’s something that has impacted America the most then it is Vietnam War. This war caused the major turbulence in American history, with the war causing mass civil unrest at home. Since the situations was not good for everyone, Vietnam veterans returned home unlike any generation of veterans. In that sense, their homecoming was never like a good “welcome home” because the war was opposed by many. A data reveals that around nine million Americans served during the War era, the largest in America. There are living vets with the median age of 71. Thankfully, things changed for them and now there’s a National Vietnam Veterans Day, celebrated on March 29 in honor of their service and sacrifice.
